![]() For instance, you'll now be able to revisit maps. Now ambitious designers out there can put different types of campaigns together. The Orc campaign will not only give a full campaign on its own, but will also be a good demonstration of the new abilities the editor will have in building campaigns. It will chronicle Thrall and his people as they carve a little niche out in the world for their newfound freedom. Therefore, those that pick up The Frozen Throne will find a second campaign awaiting them all for the Orcs. While Blizzard couldn't figure out any really good reason to add the Orcs to the story, they didn't want to leave them out in the cold. Personally, I think this world wouldn't be able to survive without some gigantic evil endangering the world. While the Dark Elves and Undead strive to reach the power hidden in the ice, the Human alliance containing the newly formed Blood Elves are out to stop them both from unleashing a nice new evil upon the world. The structure is the same as the mother title, splitting the main campaign up into separate parts showcases the various races. The story will be played out through the various in-game cutscenes in between and during missions with the famous rendered cinematics coming back to start and end each of the race's portions of the campaign. But as with all good things, there's always someone else there to make things more difficult. Arthas is in search of power inside the Icecrown glacier where the Lich King lies buried. Seems these folks here in Warcraftland can't catch a break. Yet while all are trying to recoup from the recent battles, more evil doings are in the cards. Meanwhile, Arthas, the self-proclaimed King of Lordareon has turned the world of men and elves to an unholy pit of death and slime, not unlike our bathrooms here at IGN. The Night Elves went back to their ancient forest to heal and repair the land, the Humans founded a new city on the new continent in the hopes of rebuilding their strong past, and the Orcs finally found a home and begin building a civilization of their own without their demon masters drooling over their shoulders. After the Burning Legion had been defeated, the rest of the world limped back to begin the rebuilding process. ![]() The first of the campaigns follows the game's name, The Frozen Throne, and employs a story like you would expect from Blizzard. The campaign structure in The Frozen Throne is a bit different than you'll remember from Reign of Choas, primarily because there are two separate campaigns to complete. ![]()
